Thank you for choosing and booking with Platinum Shuttles. In doing so you have agreed to abide by the terms and conditions as follows:
Departures
To ensure passengers connect with their respective flights and cruises, Platinum Shuttles passengers should aim to be ready and waiting outside their accommodation, house or designated pick-up address at least 5 minutes prior to their scheduled pick-up time. Platinum Shuttles endeavors at all times to keep waiting times to a minimum, although in the case of exceptional circumstances that occur beyond our control, we are not responsible for delays incurred.
Before departure from your pick up address, please pay the driver in full for your return service. Please have the correct money available, as per the agreed price.
Airport Arrivals
Domestic Arrivals
When your aircraft lands, please ensure your mobile phone is switched on so that your driver can make contact with you. It is essential to make contact with the driver.
Domestic passengers are met near luggage carousel 5 in terminal 2 and luggage carousel 1 in terminal 3.
We allow up to 30 minutes for baggage collection and waiting time as standard. The driver will be wearing a distinctive grey shirt with the Platinum Shuttles logo and displaying a welcome meeting board with the passenger’s name on it.
International Arrivals
When your aircraft lands, please ensure your mobile phone is switched on so that your driver can make contact with you. It is essential to make contact with the driver.
International passengers are met at the shuttle meeting sign inside the terminal next to McDonalds which is situated inside Terminal 1. Turn to the right when you exit customs and walk approximately 30 meters past gate A.
We allow up to 1 hour for passengers to clear Customs. The driver will be wearing a distinctive grey shirt with the Platinum Shuttles logo and displaying a welcome meeting board with the passenger’s name on it.
If you have cleared Customs and after 15 minutes you cannot make contact with your driver, please call Platinum Shuttles on 4646 1717.
Cruise Ship Arrivals
When your ship docks in port, please ensure your mobile phone is switched on so that your driver can make contact with you. It is essential to make contact with the driver.
The driver will call you at approximately 730am, so that you will have the number to call when you have disembarked from your ship and are waiting on the dock in the designated pick up area to be picked up.
As a general rule, passengers are required to have a disembark time from the ship prior to 8am for an 830am pick up.
If you have not made contact with the driver by 8am, please call Platinum Shuttles on 4646 1717.
Baggage Pricing & Information
Luggage is limited to one suitcase and one piece of hand luggage per person. Please advise Platinum Shuttles of any additional luggage at time of booking. Passengers will then be advised of any additional charges that may be incurred. Please clearly label your luggage with your name and residential address. Passengers are advised to purchase travel insurance prior to their departure as Platinum Shuttles takes no responsibility against any loss or damage.
Each extra suit cases – $5 .00 per extra piece
1 x Surfboard – $5.00 per board bag
Bike in Bike Box – $5.00 per box
Golf Clubs – $5.00 Per Set
Surfboards must be less than 2 metres, if they exceed 2 metres we may need a surfboard trailer.
Excess luggage falling outside the above groups, will have the cost confirmed by the driver upon boarding. If excess luggage is not booked with office and does not fit on the bus, your transfer may be cancelled on the spot.
Promotions and Discounts
From time to time Platinum Shuttles may offer promotional discounts on fares. These discounts only apply to pick ups between the hours of 6am and 8pm. Outside these hours, normal rates will always apply unless approved by management.
Any promotional offers that passengers wish to claim must be notified to Platinum Shuttles at the time of booking. These will not be accepted at the time of travel unless approved by management.
Cancellation Policy (excluding charters)
Cancellation of a booking in excess of 24 hours’ notice will receive a 50% refund.
Cancellation of a booking with less than 24 hours’ notice will not receive a refund.
Pricing Policy
All prices are inclusive of GST and are shown in Australian dollars.
Pick-ups between the hours of 8pm and 6am incur a $10 surcharge unless approved by management at the time of booking.
Bookings
All return bookings must be secured or paid for on your date of departure with your driver. Failure to do so will not guarantee your return booking.
An additional $3.00 transaction fee will apply if using a credit card. Credit card payments are only accepted up to 3 days prior to your departure date. Credit card payments will only be accepted over the telephone through the booking office.
Charters
For an agreed price, Platinum Shuttles will provide a driver and bus for a charter. The quote is valid for 14 days from the enquiry date.
A bond of $200.00 is payable to confirm the booking. The bond will also cover, extra time and cleaning fees but not damage as per below. This bond must be paid by credit card at the time of booking.
$1000.00 excess will be charged for any damage caused to the bus by the passengers.
If cancelled 21- 14 days prior to the day of the charter, 50% of the agreed price cancellation fee applies, if cancelled within 14 days of the charter, the full charter fee applies.
Extra waiting time outside of the agreed times, a fee of $75.00 per half hour or part there-of applies.
No Food or Drink is allowed to be consumed on the bus. Water Only.
Payments may be made by Direct Deposit to Platinum Shuttles. Personal cheques are not accepted. Credit Card payments (Visa or MasterCard only) will incur a $3.00 surcharge.
Liabilities and Responsibilities
Platinum Shuttles accepts no liability or responsibility for delayed or cancelled flights/cruises, or delays due to traffic and traffic accidents. If for any reason we fail to pick up our passengers on the designated date and/or time, we shall not be responsible for the payment of air fares, cruise fares, accommodation, taxi fares, train fares or bus fares or any other related expenses.
Refunds will only occur in the instance where we fail to provide service during our operating hours.
Our buses run to a schedule and our drivers, by law, must adhere to government regulated driving hours. If your delayed flight/ship arrives at a time that does not suitably connect with our scheduled bus departure times, we are under no obligation to provide you with a pick up at a time that is outside our scheduled operating hours.
Platinum Shuttles cannot guarantee our buses will operate to the exact times that passengers are booked in for or the availability of seats, hence vacancies may not always be available at the time/s you require to travel.
Sydney Airport has a 20 minute pick up window at $6.15, Platinum Shuttles will pay the first 20 minutes, all other 20 minute blocks will be paid by the customer at $6.15 per 20 minutes. All efforts are made to pick up customers at designated meeting points, however without mobile or direct contact this proves to be difficult. No responsibility is taken for passengers not collected who are not at meeting points or without mobile contact.
Platinum Shuttles offers a shuttle service, which may include multiple passenger pick-ups, we are not an exclusive service. If you require an exclusive or private service, you make book the bus as a charter service, which ensures an exclusive or private service.
Under no circumstances shall Platinum Shuttles be responsible for any claim, loss or damage suffered by a passenger caused by use of the service by the passenger or the purchase of a ticket by the passenger, including without limitation loss or damage caused by delay, cancellation of the service or abandonment during the course of a service, accident, mechanical breakdown, loss of luggage, burglary, theft or fire, or any other act or neglect of Platinum Shuttles servants, agents or employees acting within the course of their employment.
Platinum Shuttles passengers can expect the following: the bus to be clean and tidy. The driver’s bus authority to be on display. The driver to be friendly, courteous and assist with any reasonable requests. Passengers may drink water only on the bus.
Platinum Shuttles passengers must not place their feet on the seats, smoke, eat, drink alcohol or spit on the bus. Passengers must not use offensive language, interfere with equipment or damage the bus in any way. Nothing is to be thrown from the bus or dropped in the bus such as litter.
Updates & Amendments
Platinum Shuttles may at any time amend the terms and conditions without notice. All amendments are posted on the website and will take effect immediately.
